Heinrich Hiller (1891-1971) and the Tube Autoclaves
(2018)
Abstract
Prof. Heinrich Hiller was Head of Inorganic Technology at the Technische Hochschule in Vienna, Austria. His patent of 1928 with Wolf Johannes Müller (1874-1941) mentioned briefly a heating coil or "Heizsclange" which became today the huge tube autoclaves. The patent originally treats the bauxite in Europe that needs higher temperature than that specified by Karl Josef Bayer (1847-1904) in his patent of 1892.
