Abstract
Prof. Ivan Nicolai Maslenitsky at the Leningrad Mining Institute (now St. Petersburg Mining University), was instrumental in translating into Russian the first two volumes of my book Principles of Extractive Metallurgy published by Gordon & Breach in New York in 1969 and 1970, respectively. He developed many hydrometallurgical methods which are used today on large scale.
