Iron and Steel in Canada

Abstract
Iron production in Canada started in 1733 during the French Regime in Quebec and developed further during the British occupation. Canada did not contribute greatly to iron production but it was in Quebec that the bottom blowing of oxygen in steelmaking was invented which is now used world wide.
