  • One of the driving components of my scholarly activity is collaboration, to identify and examine barriers disciplinarily, and in terms of identity, rhetoric, and online/digital spaces. In collaboration with my co-authors and editors, I have published multiple innovative works in digital rhetoric, feminist rhetoric, labor in higher education, and stepmothering studies. My area of focus tends to be, simply put, how people use language to create meaning. I look at this kind of language use in three distinct areas: digital technology and social media, feminism and gender studies, and labor in higher education.
