Kristin Krueger Assistant Professor Disciplines Anthropology Research Interests Dr. Krueger’s current research focuses on understanding how microwear textures form and their turnover rates through experimental means. This is a collaborative effort with the Minnesota Dental Research Center for Biomaterials and Biomechanics group at the University of Minnesota’s School of Dentistry. Pilot data, generated with the help of Loyola undergraduate Evan Chwa, indicates that Artificial Resynthesis Technology (A.R.T. 5) creates distinct microwear textures under specific dietary conditions. These data can help us to reconstruct dietary strategies and recognize adaptation in our evolutionary ancestors.
