About Gene Wright, Ph.D., LPC-S, NCC

Dr. Wright teaches in the mental health and wellness program. His primary focus in on the Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Typical courses taught include: Legal and Ethical Issues in Counseling, Practical Use of the DSM, Practicum, Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Practice, and Tech Assisted and Distance Counseling. He supervises students and graduates as they move from supervised to independent practice. In addition to his instructional roles, he also serves as the program CACREP Liaison for accreditation purposes.
