About Esmé Zodrow-MacDonald

I am a first-year graduate student, with a focus on medieval history. My research interests include Visigothic Iberia with a particular focus on displays of power and the role of imperial precedent, hagiography and the cult of saints, the role of gender in the construction of sainthood and the formation and pursuit of religious life, monasticism, and the nature of relations between secular and ecclesiastical authorities.
