About Ernesto A. Longa

Ernesto works in the Faculty and Public Services Department of the Law Library. He provides reference service for faculty, students, the Bar, and the public. In addition, he teaches Advanced Legal Research, contributes to collection development, and promotes faculty scholarship.

Ernesto is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) and the Southwestern Association of Law Libraries (SWALL). In 2007, Ernesto received the Earl Borgeson Research in Law Librarianship Award for his research on America's First Jim Crow Law School Library and Staff.

Before coming to UNM, Ernesto worked as a graduate assistant at the University of Washington, Marian Gould Gallagher Law Library, and at the law firm of Greenberg Traurig in Miami.
