About Erkan Demirkaya

Dr. Erkan Demirkaya is a pediatric rheumatologist specializing in autoinflammation and autoinflammatory diseases in children such as Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF), Hyper IgD Syndrome (HIDS), and TNF-Receptor Associated Periodic Syndrome (TRAPS).

Children's Health Collaborators: Roberta Berard and Tom Appleton

Through local collaboration with members of Western University's Bone and Joint Institute (BJI) and other national and international collaborations, Dr. Demirkaya investigates the genetic and environmental causes, as well as the mechanisms, behind autoinflammatory diseases to identify new targets for therapy.
