Anthropology 200: Introduction to Archaeology

Description
By the end of the course, students should have:
-an understanding of the analytical methods archaeologists use to study the material record
-knowledge of the diversity of material forms available for archaeological study
-skills in critical analysis that can be used to evaluate how understandings of the past are constructed
-an awareness of the range possible questions and approaches that can be applied to a single archaeological site
-an appreciation for how archaeology can enrich our understandings of the diversity of the human experience within different time periods and places
