About Erik F. Gerding

I am a professor at the University of Colorado Law School, which I joined in 2011. I taught previously at the University of New Mexico School of Law. Before entering the academy, I practiced corporate and securities law in the New York and Washington, D.C. offices of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP.
I teach business law courses, including banking, securities, regulation, contracts, and corporations.
My research interests include banking, securities, and financial regulation generally.
