About Erica E. Hartwell

Dr. Hartwell is the newest faculty member in the MFT department. She received her doctorate in Human Development & Family Science (Couple & Family Therapy program) from The Ohio State University in May 2013. She received her master's in MFT from Antioch University New England and her bachelor's from Cornell University. Her interest in family systems theory, feminist theory, and advancing MFT research is reflected in her dissertation, titled, "Can Androgyny Balance Bowen? A Study of Distance Regulation, Sex Roles, and Well-being."
