About Erica Coslor

As an economic sociologist in a management department, Erica's research is focused on new market emergence, firm and product categories, legitimacy, valuation and calculative practices. With research on the emergence of art as a legitimate financial asset category, her new work on markets and categories includes contexts like 3D printing, drones and student organizations. Her scholarly publications on the financialization of art have also been used by legal practitioners such as the U.S. Copyright Office.
