About Erica Blatt

Dr. Blatt specializes in science and environmental education with an emphasis on curriculum development and teacher education. Her current research focuses on determining best practices for helping teachers incorporate environmental topics into their teaching. She often utilizes sociocultural learning theory as a theoretical framework, and has also investigated pre-service teachers’ youth experiences in the outdoors and their intentions and perceived obstacles to taking students outdoors.
