The Iowa State University Library is active nationally and internationally in efforts to transform scholarly communications by moving away from traditional subscriptions and supporting sustainable open publishing models.

The Library has successfully negotiated and signed several Open Access (Read and Publish) agreements with publishers to make Iowa State journal articles immediately available to anyone with an internet connection.

This session will detail the specifics of administering, monitoring, and supporting these new types of transformative agreements for our campus community. Examples will include our licensing efforts, publisher dashboards, approval workflows, and data analytics that give us a deeper understanding of where publishing is happening and provide validation of publisher provided authorship data.
