About Enrique Pasquel

A native of Perú, Enrique Pasquel's own research interests are in the areas of law and economics, property and natural resources, regulatory and administrative law and economic development. His law degree is from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, where he was professor of law. He holds a master's degree in law from Yale Law School where he was a Fulbright scholar. Currently, he is a top officer of Indecopi, the Peruvian competition agency. Formerly, he was a researcher at Hernando de Soto's Institute for Liberty and Democracy, doing research and consultancy on property, regulation and poverty in different developing countries. He currently teaches law and economics, property and administrative law at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas, where he is also the Director of its Master in Regulation program.
