I'm a professor of American history, in addition to a widely-recognized author, writer, editor, and cultural critic. My subject matter expertise covers racial injustice, gender equality, diversity in academia, popular culture, multiculturalism, social justice, and related issues. I teach graduate and undergraduate courses at East Tennessee State University (ETSU), where I have been a professor for two decades.
