(1984)
  • Ellen Brassil
Abstract
This course is designed for librarians who provide information services to health sciences professionals and who have experience in online searching on any of the major search systems. The course text provides background material on the history, subject scope and terminology in the field of Health Administration. Information resources covered include both printed references and online databases, as well as selected health or government institutions. Emphasis is placed on problem-solving techniques which draw upon the full spectrum of resources identified. A preliminary version of this course was prepared in a cooperative effort by a subcommittee of the Standing Committee for Online Retrieval Education (SCORE), an advisory body to the National Library of Medicine.
