About Elizabeth A. Dreyer

Elizabeth Dreyer, retired professor of Religious Studies, had been a member of the Fairfield Faculty since 1999. Previous faculty appointments include the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota; the Catholic University of America, and The Washington Theological Union in Washington, D.C. Dreyer is the author or editor of 9 books and numerous articles, chapters in books, and dictionary/encyclopedia entries. She lectures in the United States and abroad on topics such as:
Medieval theology and spirituality
Medieval women mystics
Lay spirituality
The Ignatian spiritual tradition
The theology of the Holy Spirit
Most recently she has served as General Editor for the eight-volume series Called To Holiness: Spirituality for Catholic Women. She wrote the inaugural volume for the series, Making Sense of God: A Woman's Perspective. Additional information can be found at www.calledtoholiness.org.
