Abstract
The aim of Session 573 – The Art of Resilience: Creativity, Courage and Renewal – was to identify and better understand ways in which artists, cultural workers, and creatives might be able to inspire and strengthen the capacities of individuals, communities, and our societies at large to confront the unexpected and to respond creatively and courageously to seemingly infinite sources of shock and disruption. Between February 7 and February 12, 2017, 50 practitioners were convened at Salzburg Global to explore the intersections of the arts, culture and resilience. This is a report of the activities and discussions which took place.
