Abstract
College STEM curricula often omit information literacy instruction (ILI), which is a problem at Portland State University (PSU) and nationally. This chapter examines PSU initiatives that allowed for less traditional outreach to teaching faculty, which resulted in an increase in STEM course-related ILI. The successes the chapter describes may provide guidance to faculty and librarians aiming to improve their students' research skills.
