About Elisabeth Gallant

My research interests focus on assessing volcanic hazards using a variety of field and computational techniques.
Current projects include: (1) Probabilistic assessment of vent opening and lava flow hazards to the Idaho
National Laboratory, eastern Snake River Plain (Idaho), (2) Assessing lava flow hazards from the Harrat ash-
Shāmah, volcanic field (Kingdom of Jordan, Syria, and Saudi Arabia), (3) Modelling mechanical erosion by lava
flow on Momotombo Volcano, Nicaragua, and (4) Integrating multiple elevation models for improving volcanic
hazard assessments at Nevado del Ruiz Volcano, Colombia.
