About Edwin Egede

Edwin Egede, PhD(International Law), is a Senior Lecturer in International Law and International Relations at the Cardiff University.He is also a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and has practised extensively before the Nigerian Courts.
He has lectured on Public International Law, Human Rights & Civil Liberties and Oil & Gas Law in Universities in the United Kingdom and Africa. In the year 2000 he was one of the fellows elected to attend the United Nations Training and Research Institute (UNITAR) International Law programme and Hague Academy Summer Course on International Law at the Hague, Netherlands.
Between September 2005 and March 2007 he worked on a contract basis for a United Kingdom Government Department dealing with liquidation of companies and bankruptcy.
His areas of interest are International Law; Law of the Sea; International Relations; Environmental Law;International Organisations, especially the United Nations; Comparative Constitutional Law and Human Rights.
