About Edlyn V. Peña

Dr. Edlyn Vallejo Peña is an Assistant Professor of Higher Education Leadership at California Lutheran University. Her scholarship focuses on equity and disability. While her research has historically centered on promoting equitable outcomes for underrepresented racial minority students in higher education, she currently explores ways in which to support students with autism spectrum disorder gain access to and thrive in postsecondary institutions. Dr. Peña has presented her research at national conferences and has conducted professional development workshops with teachers and college faculty to increase awareness, understanding, and responsiveness to the unique needs of students on the spectrum.
