About Eamon Maher Dr

Eamon Maher is Director of the National Centre for Franco-Irish Studies at the Institute of Technology, Tallaght. Apart from a keen interest in the links - cultural, literary and historic - between the Celtic cousins, France and Ireland, he is also interested in 20th century French and Irish fiction, contemporary Catholicism in France and Ireland, and cultural theory. He has published a number of monographs - the most recent of which is 'The Church and its Spire': John McGahern and the Catholic Question (Columba, 2011) - and has edited or co-edited over 20 books. He is also general editor of the successful Reimagining Ireland book series with Peter Lang Oxford.
