About Douglas Twitchell

Dr. Douglas Twitchell joined Boise State University’s Department of Information Technology and Supply Chain Management in 2016. He earned his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems with a Linguistics minor from the University of Arizona’s Eller School of Management. Dr. Twitchell’s research interests range from effects of deception on task performance to security in WiFi. He earned multiple grants for cyber security defense research, and in 2013 won the Illinois State University Impact Award for teaching.  While at Illinois State University Dr. Twitchell organized and lead the Central Illinois High School Cyber Defense Competition from 2012-2015 in which high school students from around Central Illinois come to ISU to compete in a competition that requires them to defend a network of computers against attack. In 2014 he lead the school’s successful application to renew its status as a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance and Cyber Defense.
