Douglas W. Jacobson, Ph.D. is a University Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Iowa State University. He joined the faculty in 1985 after earning a Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University in 1985. Doug is currently the director of the Iowa State University Information Assurance Center, which has been recognized by the National Security Agency as a charter Center of Academic Excellence for Information Assurance Education. He is also director of the proposed NSF I/U CRC Center for Information Protection and the Internet-Scale Event and Attack Generation Environment (ISEAGE).
