About Douglas A. Hanes, PhD

Douglas Hanes is a Biostatistician with the Cardiovascular Analytics, Research + Data Science (CARDS) group.  He has a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Michigan and 19 years of experience in mathematical and medical and health research.  Dr. Hanes has collaborated on research in neurology and neuroscience, psychology, integrative health systems, and perception.  At Providence he supports cancer research at the Saint John’s Cancer Institute and at the Earle A Chiles Research Institute.  Currently, his main interests are in the design of medical studies, exploratory methods for analysis of health data, and interpretation of analytical results.
