About Doris Yuen

Dr. Doris Yuen is a neonatologist at the Children's Hospital (LHSC) and an associate professor in the Department of Paediatrics at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University.

Dr. Yuen completed her Paediatric residency and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine subspecialty residency at Toronto’s Sick Kids Hospital and a research fellowship at the University of Ottawa. She received her PhD in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Guelph. She joined the Department of Pediatrics at Western University in 2002. She was the Education Program Director of the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine subspecialty training program from 2004-2019 and  the Associate Program Director of the Pediatric residency program from 2008-2010 and Program Director from 2010-2015. Her scholarly work in postgraduate medical education focuses on physician well-being.  Dr. Yuen is a co-founder of the Post-Discharge Nutrition Clinic for NICU graduates at the Children’s Hospital, LHSC. Her previous research in neonatal nutrition was in partnership with a team investigating biomarkers for growth restricted premature infants.
