Abstract
Under the auspices of Educators for the 21st Century we created the College Readiness in Science Partnership (CRISP). Our goal was to help ensure that students in the Cape Flattery, Mount Vernon and Blaine school districts were gaining the science content knowledge and habits of mind that would enable them to succeed in post secondary education. During the first year (2009-2010), we assisted teachers and administrators in improving their understanding of effective science instruction, while supporting the creating of high functioning professional learning communities within each school.
