Abstract
Dayalbagh Educational Institute Soft Computing Edge Cutting Technology Lab (DEISEL) Group consiting of a Professor Incharge, four Teaching Staff members, five Non-Teaching Staff members, five Ph.D. Students, six M. Tech. Students. The objective of DEISEL is to to exploit the tolerance for imprecision uncertainty, approximate reasoning and partial truth to achieve tractability, robustness, low solution cost, and close resemblance with human like decision making to find an approximate solution to an imprecisely/precisely formulated problem. The challenge is to exploit the tolerance for imprecision by devising methods of computation which lead to an acceptable solution at low cost. This, in essence, is the guiding principle of soft computing. The Work done in the DEISEL is as follows: Four books published from reputed publishers like CRC press USA, Springer Verlag, Germany and from India. More forty Six papers published in reputed peer reveiwed journals like IEEE Trans., IEE Proceedings, J. of Electrical power and Energy Systems, etc. About 90 pqapers published various national and international Conferences. Also many Int. J. Papers reveiwed for IEEE trans., IEE GTD, IET news letter etc. We had colloboration to many national and international organisations and universities like Univ. of Calgary, Canada, Univ. of Waterloo, Canada, Imperial college London, U.K., Univ. of Keil, Germany, ITT, kanpur, IIT Rajasthan, and ADRDE, DRDO lab, Agra,
