Abstract
An alternative approach for studying the dynamics of basic commutating electrical macines in different modes of operation such as electromechanical transducer, electromechanical amplifier and rotating amplifier by system dynamics moelling and simulation as a quick response solution of learning is presented. Illustative simple simulations are also included. Potentially, the system dynamics methodology as an alternative approach can be extended to studying the dynamics of a variety of electrical machines.
