What advice do older adults receive about alcohol consumption?Graduate School of Medicine - Papers (Archive)
AbstractAlcohol risks for older people transpose into considerable alcohol-related morbidity and mortality. The 2009 NHMRC Australian Drinking Guidelines recommend ‘Older people . . . consult with their health professionals about the most appropriate level of drinking for their health’ . This study aimed to examine the extent to which older adults engage in, and are prepared to engage in, these conversations with health professionals.
