Abstract
This PowerPoint was used during a presentation at the Association for Recorded Sound Collections conference in Pittsburgh in May 2015. The presentation focused on Yale's holdings of a very rare 78 rpm record label, the Black Swan Label. This 1920s label was the first to advertise itself as being owned by African Americans and to feature only black recording artists.
