About Diane Fittipaldi, MBA, EdD

Diane Fittipaldi, MBA, EdD. joined St. Catherine University in 2015 and serves as the Director of the MBA Program and Assistant Professor. As a practitioner and an academic, Dr. Fittipaldi brings a rare blend of experience to our students giving them not only an understanding of theory but also the ways theory comes to life in practice. She completed my MBA from the University of Michigan in 1982 and spent 30 years in business, initially as a brand manager for General Mills and later as an advertising executive for two of the world's largest advertising agencies,BBDO and the McCann World group. During Dr. Fittipaldi's time at McCann Minneapolis, she reached the rank of senior vice president and served as the director of client service and as a member of the senior leadership team. She received my doctoral degree in leadership with honors from the University of St.Thomas in 2014 and began teaching at the University of Minnesota's School of Journalism and Mass Communications. Dr. Fittipaldi also served as an adjunct faculty member at Augsburg College, where she taught Women's Studies and at the University of St. Thomas, where she taught Feminist Perspectives on Leadership to graduate students. Dr. Fittipaldi currently serves as the MBA Program Director and teaches MBA courses in integrated marketing communications and business management.
