About Diana Barratt

Diana Barratt, M.D., MPH, FAAN is a board-certified neurologist and director of the Neurology Residency Program at Marcus Neuroscience Institute, established at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, part of Baptist Health. In conjunction with Florida Atlantic University’s Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine, Marcus Neuroscience Institute is training the next generation of neurologists. Prior to joining Marcus Neuroscience Institute in 2021, Dr. Barratt was a neurohospitalist at Lee Physician Group in Fort Myers. Here at Marcus Neuroscience Institute, she will practice hospital-based neurology. At the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, Dr. Barratt directed the neurosciences course and neurology clerkship. Over a period of 10 years, she trained 800 medical students in neurosciences and clinical neurology. She created innovative educational modules, which have been peer-reviewed and published on the AAMC’s MedEdPORTAL. Her research has also been published in peer-reviewed journals, including Neurology, Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, and the Journal of Trauma. The American Academy of Neurology presented her with the Neurology Teacher Recognition Award, the Clerkship Director Innovation Award, and the Clerkship Director Teaching Award. Her external funding includes the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Faculty Innovation in Education Award and the American Academy of Neurology Education Research Grant.
