Abstract

The article presents a case study on a 84 year-old woman hospitalized for elective hip surgery that led to a request for an ethics consultation. The surgery is posponed because she is diagnosed with coronary heart disease but she gave pre-procedure consent for treatment complications. The article aims to address ethical dilemmas encountered by patients, families and medical personnel. Moreover, it provides careful analysis and recommendations in accordance with biblical standards.
