About Deborah A. Donovan

My position at WWU is split between the Biology Department and the Science Education Group. In Biology, my work focuses on the physiological ecology of marine invertebrates. I am particularly interested in how molluscs live in and respond to their environments. In Science Education, I am a coauthor of a reformed biology curriculum called Life Science and Everyday Thinking. I am also involved in researching the effectiveness of active learning pedagogies.

Present Professor, Department of Biology, Western Washington University Department of Biology
