About Debora Weaver

Dr. Weaver has been involved in three areas of research: 1) the neuronal cytoskeleton and associated proteins, 2) the signal transduction pathway associated with rod cells in the mammalian retina, and 3) the ethics of performing short-term health-related service learning courses in majority-world countries.

Dr. Weaver is very involved in the Study Abroad Program at Campbell, leading courses in Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Tanzania, and serves on the oversight committee for study abroad.

She has held several leadership positions at Campbell, including Director of the Honors Program, Chair of GCC, Chair of the Biochemistry Curriculum committee, member of the Quality Enhancement Leadership team, and member of the Faculty Development and Evaluation committee.

Dr. Weaver is also on the General College Curriculum committee, where she served as Chair for four years (2011-2015).
