Abstract

This paper analyzes dual- and multiple-use approaches for new and existing bioterrorism preparedness and response technology, made possible by the large infusion of funds to the states and territories through the 2002 Cooperative Agreement Award Notice and Grant Guidance given by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Informatics benefits and trade-offs among existing infrastructures are discussed and highlighted.
