About Daxton R Stewart

Daxton R. "Chip" Stewart studies journalism and media law issues such as freedom of information laws, copyright and social media as an associate professor at TCU's Schieffer School of Journalism.
He earned his J.D. from the University of Texas and holds an LL.M. in Dispute Resolution and a Ph.D. in Journalism from the University of Missouri.
His articles have been published in several places, including Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly, Communication Law & Policy, Journal of Telecommunication and High Technology Law, American Journalism, Journal of Media Law & Ethics, and Appalachian Law Journal. He is the editor of Social Media and the Law: A Guidebook for Communication Students and Professionals (Routledge, 2012).
