About Dawn Shell

Dr. Shell is Course Director for the Cellular and Molecular Basis of Medicine, which is a foundational course in the first year of the DO program.
One of Dr. Shell's primary responsibilities is developing programs and methods for the early identification, remediation and retention of struggling students.
Dr. Shell’s research focuses on using molecular biology techniques to study the regulation of virulence genes in Escherichia coli, Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Neisseria meningitidis.
