Abstract
This essay, which will appear in the inaugural issue of the International Journal of Therapeutic Jurisprudence, explores the important conceptual relationship between procedural justice(PJ) and therapeutic jurisprudence(TJ), and explores how judicial conversations need to embrace PJ but , to maximize compliance and rehabilitation, need also to embrace strands of psychology/criminology beyond the important PJ ones of voice, validation, and respectful treatment.
