About David Mena Alemán

David Mena is a full-time professor of the Department of International Studies at the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City, and Co-Editor of the international peer-reviewed journal Politics & Policy. He obtained his BA in social sciences (1989) from the Department of Social Sciences at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and his doctorate in government (2001) from the Department of Government at the University of Essex, UK.
Dr. Mena’s book Concepción colectivista de la democracia [A Collectivist Conception of Democracy] was published by Ediciones Coyoacán (México) in 2005. He is also the author of several peer reviewed articles, chapters, and international conference papers on comparative politics, political theory, theories of democracy and international relations.
