Abstract

Among those interested in helping students learn to read, it is clear that half the task is to teach students how to read while the other half involves getting them to use that ability often enough to become fluent readers. Unfortunately, many children have not had the opportunity to find personal satisfaction in the books they read to the extent that they choose reading as a recreational or free-time activity.
