Abstract
Most studies examining the impact of undergraduate research rely exclusively on self-report methods. This study used an empirical assessment of research skills to investigate associations between undergraduate research and research skill development. Findings suggest that undergraduate research is linked to heightened research skills in the early years of graduate school.
