AbstractAn understanding of why corporations engage in corporate social investment and corporate philanthropy is vital if not-for-profit organisations are to engage effcetively in raising funds from this sector. This article indicates that their is a return on investment for companies who partner with the not-for-profit sector and approaches need to focus on this rather than an appeal to altruism.
