Abstract

There are many advancements in the field of gender law across the United States, including same-sex marriage becoming legal across the country in various states. Yet, many divisions still exist in recognition of gender and how individuals are classified under the law. Same-sex marriage is but one example of how gender is being removed from classification and helping to move us toward a genderless society through less rigorous standards of classification.
