Abstract

The article discusses the use of light-emitting diodes (LED) and other light producing devices. The artificial light source has the ability to move charged particles under the influence of an electric potential difference called the substance's electrical conductivity. The definition of a diode is also mentioned. The energy source of LED goes into solid-state vibrational modes or phonon modes of the semiconductor.
