Abstract

The article presents information on the characteristics of prisms. Prisms are optical component that disperses light or modifies the light's direction and polarization. Prisms could be compose of a variety of materials such as glass, lead crystal and quartz. The author provides a discussion on a prism's properties like polarization effects, light dispersion and reflection.
